ABOUT US
Since its establishment, AJATA Einradversand has become one of Europe’s largest unicycle retailers. On our “About Us” page, you can find out more about how we got involved in the world of unicycling, the motivation and vision behind our decision to open a unicycle shop in Germany and about our team of staff, with whom we want to continue to achieve major goals.
OUR MOTIVATION
For a long time, unicycling has been far more than ‘just’ a type of sport for us; it has been our hobby. In 2003, we took our hobby one step further by opening our unicycle shop.
How it all began…
The Unicycling World Championship (Unicon IX) was hosted by the German sports club Djk Adler 07 Bottrop in 1998. My brother Lutz Eichholz actively participated in the competition, which encouraged me to get involved as an event helper. Whilst doing so, I had a first-hand experience of the abundance of things that you can do on a unicycle and I signed up for a beginner’s course straight away. After two days of hard work I succeeded in controlling the unicycle, at least partially. It was at this point, at the latest, that I realised that this was the sport for me.
My first competitive experience came at the German Championship in Langenselbold in 1999. The German Championship was later renamed the “Deutschland Cup”.

Unicon X China
The highlight of my unicycling career has certainly been the Unicon X, the Unicycling World Championship in Peking, where I had the opportunity to get to know unicyclists from all over the world.
On the way to the starting line for the 400m race. Among the abundance of Asian participants there are also two well-known German faces: Maurice Ließner and Nils Hommen.
Over the following years, our team participated in several national competitions such as the Deutschland Cup in 2000, 2001 and 2002. We also gained experience in freestyle unicycling in a wide variety of performances (on television, at galas, etc.).
"Chess" Group Freestyle
“The presentations by the unicycling division of DJK Adler 07 were equally racy. The winners of the Deutschlandpokal (German Cup) 2001 athletically spun their wheels and stole the spotlight with their lively freestyle performance.”

I was a member of the “Eagles I” group freestyle team at both the 2nd and 3rd Deutschland Cups. I then began my degree in Cologne, meaning that I had to move away from home and was therefore initially unable to continue my unicycling at the same level of performance.
Trial & Error Team
An excellent alternative for me is mountain unicycling (MUni) and unicycle trials, which allow me to be more flexible as I am not bound to specific hall times. Some time ago, I formed the Trial & Error Team with some fellow unicycling fans.
You can find out more at the Trial & Error Team website (see Links).
Unicycle Hockey
Nevertheless, when unicycling completely alone and without a team element, it felt like something was missing. I therefore established the “Freestyler” hockey team with other unicyclists from Bottrop and the surrounding area and we signed up for the German Unicycle Hockey League in February 2004.
As you can see, we have not only acquired technical expertise over the years, but have also gained an abundance of valuable experience in the world of unicycling as a sport.
It is particularly important for us to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in all areas of unicycling and to also remain actively involved in the sport.
We believe that we succeed in doing so and are delighted to be able to provide you with competent advice.
It’s not just coincidence that our company headquarters are located in the Ruhr district of Germany, the “unicycling metropolis”. In fact, three major renowned and successful unicycle clubs have relocated to this area, meaning that we have direct contact to a number of well-known unicycling professionals, with whom we can unicycle together, exchange ideas and experiences or simply meet up at the weekend.

In addition, we also stay in personal contact with unicyclists from further afield, for example in Canada, where unicycling, in particular in terms of MUni and trials, is a much more widespread trend than in Germany. These contacts enable us to keep up-to-date with the latest information and to gain rapid access to products that are sometimes not yet even available in Germany.
With our involvement in the world of unicycling, we not only strive to pass on our own experience and opinions, but also those of a number of experienced unicycling professionals.
FROM THE VISION TO THE PRESENT DAY
What started out in 2003 as the vision of providing Germany with a new specialist unicycling shop and directly selling products that had previously only been available abroad has now developed into far more than just an idea.
Our Service Team of active unicyclists are passionate about developing and selling unicycles and unicycle accessories. Our services and quality awareness are valued by unicycling fans all over Europe. After all, nobody can give better advice than active unicyclists!
What was once just a vision has now developed into one of Europe’s largest unicycle shops – AJATA Einradversand.
The Customer is King
We are represented at competitions and work in close cooperation with unicycling clubs in order to identify new trends and adapt our products. Our team tests a multitude of products in order to give you the best possible consultation. This enables us to provide you with a consciously and carefully selected and constantly growing range of products tailored to meet all of your unicycling needs.
More than Just an Online Shop
This is, of course, an online shop in which you can primarily purchase products for all aspects of unicycling. Nevertheless, we are also dedicated towards attracting our customers to unicycling as a sport and providing them with handy unicycling tips.
In the “Unicycle Info” section of the website, you can find all sorts of unicycling tips and tricks, while the “Events” section contains information on new unicycling events. Under “Links” you can, for example, find clubs in your area. We are also happy to inform you about workshops on various unicycling topics and find the ideal unicycling show for your event.
